Study proposed for Hai Ha seaport and eco-industrial urban complex

Standing Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee Vu Van Dien had a working session with Thai An Holdings Joint Stock Company and partners from the United Kingdom on an investment concept for the Hai Ha deep-water seaport and eco-industrial urban complex in the Mong Cai Border Gate Economic Zone.

The project has a proposed study area of approximately 6,500 hectares, an annual cargo throughput capacity of around 274 million tonnes and is projected to create 267,000 jobs.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee emphasised that Hai Ha Industrial Park is a new growth driver with considerable potential and advantages, particularly its increasingly synchronised and modern transport infrastructure system. The province will create favourable conditions for investors to continue studying and refining the project proposal, while also expressing its wish for the partners to expand cooperation in developing value chains from distinctive local agricultural products.
