In Quang Ninh, businesses across the tourism service chain are gradually shifting towards environmentally friendly practices, conserving cultural values and developing responsible tourism.
Surpassing hundreds of high-quality accommodation establishments in the region, Legacy Yen Tu – MGallery has recently received the 2026 ASEAN Green Hotel Award. It is the only accommodation establishment in Quang Ninh to receive the award this year, having met criteria on environmental management, the use of environmentally friendly products and energy saving, while linking business operations with the conservation of natural resources and local cultural values.
With the goal of sustainable development, the Quang Ninh Tourism Association is working towards implementing and granting VITA GREEN – Vietnam Green Tourism certification to businesses across the tourism service supply chain, from destinations, accommodation and travel services to tourist vessels. The focus is on environmental protection, cultural conservation and the promotion of responsible tourism, towards forming a green tourism community in Quang Ninh within this year.
