Under the agreement, the MRO complex at Van Don International Airport will cover more than 20 hectares. In its first phase, the project will be developed to international standards and will be capable of simultaneously accommodating four wide-body aircraft and two narrow-body aircraft, making it one of the largest aircraft maintenance facilities in Vietnam. The second phase is expected to expand hangar space and operational capacity to optimise operations and enhance economic efficiency.

Scheduled to become operational in 2028, the project is expected to create nearly 1,000 jobs, including around 200 positions for foreign experts and workers. It will also contribute to the development of a highly skilled aviation technical workforce in a sector facing strong demand for qualified personnel and requiring long-term, systematic investment.
