Quang Ninh welcomed an estimated 657,000 visitors over the five-day New Year holiday, from December 31, 2025 to January 4, 2026, according to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Of this total, 70,500 were international visitors, while 218,000 stayed overnight. Tourism revenue during the period is estimated at VND 1.62 trillion, reflecting a strong start to the year for the local tourism sector.
Many of the province’s signature attractions recorded impressive visitor numbers. Hạ Long Bay welcomed more than 43,800 visitors, while Sun World Ha Long attracted around 22,000 guests.
Nearly 6,900 visitors explored the Quang Ninh museum, and close to 10,000 pilgrims and tourists visited the complex of Yen Tu monuments and landscape. Meanwhile, almost 13,600 travelers entered Vietnam via the Mong Cai International Border Gate, and the Van Don Special Administrative Area welcomed 51,000 visitors.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, 19 cultural, tourism, and entertainment events were held across the province during the holiday period, offering diverse experiences and further enhancing Quang Ninh’s appeal as a vibrant, welcoming destination at the very beginning of the new year.
