Quang Ninh temporarily halts tourism activities from 12am May 6

Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee has decided to temporarily shut down tourist attractions due to complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic.

All of the attractions across the province like Ha long Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay, etc. will be temporarily closed to reduce the risk of Covid-19 infection.

The lastest decision has been made to protect local residents and tourists from the risk of Covid-19 infection as adjacent localities such as Ha Noi, Ha Nam, Hai Duong, Vinh Phuc has experienced resurgence of community transmissions.

From 12am of May 6, 2021, all of the attractions across the province including Ha Long Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay, etc. will be closed and relevant tourism activities will be postponed. No gatherings are allowed at places of worship either.

Previously, the province asked for temporarily closure of karaoke bars, discotheques, bars and public gaming centers, effective from 6am on the same day.

Local inhabitants are also encouraged to postpone weddings to halt the spread of the virus. Funerals should not be attended by many people and must strictly conform to the current regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control.

Commercial and service establishments namely wholesale and retail shops, lotteries, golf courses, resorts, tourist attractions, hotels, restaurants, cafés, hair salons strictly implement the Ministry of Health’s  5K campaign: khau trang (facemask), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach (distance), khong tu tap (no gathering) and khai bao y te (health declaration), defining these measures as decisive factor to reduce community transmissions.

Takeaway services are encouraged and people need to keep a distance of at least 1m. Records of staff, customers and visitors must be maintained for contact tracing purposes.
