Quang Ninh People’s Committee has decided to close down local cinemas, theaters and gyms since May 6 in a move to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
According to the latest guidelines, art performances, cinemas, sport facilities (gyms, yoga, snooker clubs, football yards and swimming pools), spa and beauty salons (exept for the provincial Sport Training Centre, the provincial Sport and Physical Activity School and the football club of Quang Ninh Coal).
Local inhabitants are also encouraged to postpone weddings to halt the spread of the virus. Funerals should not be attended by many people and must strictly conform to the current regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control. No gatherings are allowed at places of worship either.
Commercial and service establishments namely wholesale and retail shops, lotteries, golf courses, resorts, tourist attractions, hotels, restaurants, cafés, hair salons strictly implement the Ministry of Health’s 5K campaign: khau trang (facemask), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach (distance), khong tu tap (no gathering) and khai bao y te (health declaration), defining these measures as decisive factor to reduce community transmissions. Takeaway services are encouraged and people need to keep a distance of at least 1m. Records of staff, customers and visitors must be maintained for contact tracing purposes.
