Currently, the project progress of Cua Luc 1 Bridge has been speeding up to ensure that the bridge can be open to traffic within 2021. When the night falls down, a series of light bulbs and welding sparks make the secenary really impressive.
Cua Luc 1 Bridge and the connecting roads will have a total length of over 4.2km, beginning from the route in Gieng Day ward and ending at the intersection in National Highway 279 in Le Loi commune, Ha Long.
The steel arch bridge, measuring 290m in length and 33.1m in width, is designed to have six lanes with a speed limit of 60km per hour. The construction project will also include several accompanying items including intersections, sewers, sidewalks, trees, lighting systems and others.
The project is scheduled for completion in late 2021 which is expected to ease the overload of Bai Chay Bridge and ensure smooth traffic between the north and south of Ha Long, even during the rainy season.
