Joyful “Mid-autumn festival night” shines bright at 30/10 square

On the evening of October 5, the “Mid-autumn festival night 2025” lit up the square of 30/10 in Ha Long ward, drawing more than 2,000 children, parents, and local residents. The event created a festive, colorful atmosphere brimming with joy and the warm spirit of tradition.

In the cheerful glow of lanterns, children listened to the President’s Mid-autumn message to the nation’s youth, enjoyed the spectacular lion dance “The blue lion descends to earth” by the Hieu Nghia Duong Lion and Dragon Troupe, and delighted in a series of vibrant performances celebrating the Mid-Autumn spirit. Songs and dances such as “Continuing the story of peace,” “Circle of sunshine,” “Dung dang dung de,” and “The frog at the bottom of the well” were performed by local art clubs including Babyshark, K-Motion, Ocean Dream, and Moon & Star.

A highlight of the evening was the lively skit “Sister Hang and Cuoi,” which filled the square with laughter while sparking imagination, love for nature, and pride in Vietnam’s rich folk traditions.

Between performances, children took part in fun quizzes with prizes and shared mooncakes under the glowing moon, making the celebration feel warm, joyful, and full of community spirit.

According to Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Ha Long ward People’s Council, Hoang Ba Nam,  the “Mid-autumn festival night” was not only a meaningful activity for children but also a chance to nurture patriotism, preserve cultural heritage, and promote Ha Long ward as a friendly, vibrant hub of culture, administration, and politics in Quang Ninh province. The event also strengthened community bonds and left a lasting impression on both locals and visitors.

During the celebration, the ward presented thoughtful gifts to outstanding children from disadvantaged backgrounds, spreading kindness and compassion across the community.

As the evening drew to a close, amid the rhythmic beats of drums and the gentle glow of lanterns, children laughed, shared mooncakes, and created cherished memories of childhood joy.

The “Mid-autumn festival night” was not only a celebration but also a heartfelt cultural gift, enriching community life and honoring the enduring human values of Vietnam’s beloved Mid-autumn tradition.
