A press conference was held on April 12 by the Department of Information and Communications to announce various activities within the framework of Ha Long - Quang Ninh Tourism Week that will take place on the occasion of the National Reunification Day (April 30) and the May Day (May 1) holidays.
Titled "Ha Long - A wonder that lights up with SEA Games 31" Ha Long Carnival, a highlight of the Ha Long - Quang Ninh tourism week 2022, is scheduled to begin at 8pm on April 29, 2022 at the Ocean Park Beach, Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City. The program will be broadcast live on television of Quang Ninh Television from 8pm to 9.30pm.
With the participation of about 2,000 actors, the carnival aims at promoting Ha Long, home to the World Heritage site Ha Long Bay, as a safe and friendly destination. The event is expected to be rounded off with a firework.
In response to the Ha Long - Quang Ninh tourism week, Ha Long city will organize 8 cultural and art activities and events including the opening of Yacht Night Street, Tran Quoc Nghien Festival, a kite flying festival, arts programs, a dancing festival, a photo exhibition, and a trade fair.
Uong Bi city also organizes a series of events and activities such as the OCOP Fair, the exhibition of Yen Tu yellow apricot, the program of displaying and performing Ao Dai at Yen Tu, etc.
In 2022, Quang Ninh aims to host over 10 million tourists, including 1.5 million foreigners. As a result, its tourism revenue is targeted at some 21 trillion VND (917.43 million USD).
