In the early days of the Lunar New Year, Ha Long Bay, the world natural heritage site, continued to demonstrate its strong appeal as a leading tourism destination, welcoming tens of thousands of tourist arrivals for sightseeing and overnight stays.
During the Tet holiday, groups of tourists arrived in steady succession at Tuan Chau Port to complete check-in procedures for excursions and overnight cruises on Ha Long Bay. The majority were international visitors. Alongside overseas tourists, many Vietnamese families also chose Ha Long Bay as their destination for the Lunar New Year holiday. Visitor numbers to the heritage site increased by 10–20 percent compared with the same period last year and rose sharply compared to regular days. Cruise operators proactively enhanced transport capacity to accommodate the surge in demand, while coordinating with relevant authorities to ensure orderly operations and high service standards. The Yen Tu – Ha Long Bay Heritage Management Board, port authorities and related agencies coordinated proactively to maintain safety, manage passenger flows effectively and improve the overall visitor experience for for those touring and staying overnight on Ha Long Bay.
