The Ministry of Health (MoH) on Feb.3 morning confirmed nine more coronavirus cases, including four in Gia Lai province, which has emerged as a new coronavirus hotspot over recent days.

On Nov. 12, the exhibition featuring products with export potential, branded products, and Quang Ninh OCOP ones was launched at the Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center in Ha Long city.

On the afternoon of September 28, Quang Ninh's Chairman, Nguyen Van Thang, had a courtesy meeting with Joonyeon Choung, representative for GS Engineering & Construction Corp from South Korea, regarding investment opportunities in the province.

Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee organized a meeting regarding developing the services of high-speed boats, boat rowing, and kayaking on Ha Long Bay. Quang Ninh's Vice-chairman, Bui Van Khang, chaired the meeting.

Bac Luan Bridge No.2, put into operation in Mar.19, 2019, has promptly solved urgent requirements and set a foundation for trade strategy and import and export in Mong Cai City in particular and Quang Ninh in general. Since its operation, the bridge has boosted import and export activities between Vietnam and China via Quang Ninh and Guangxi.

On September 9, in Ha Noi, Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (under the Ministry of Industry and Trade), Vietnamese Trade Office in Japan, ASEAN – Japan Center (AJC), Japan Export Trade Research Organization (JETRO) in Ha Noi co-organized an online conference on Vietnamese - Japanese investment connection. Quang Ninh Economic Zone Management Board and Investment Promotion Agency joined the virtual meeting.

Since 1990 when Quang Ninh had the first FDI project, the province has so far attracted more than 200 projects with total registered capital of over 7.5 billion USD. Attracting foreign capital plays increasingly important role in Quang Ninh's strategy of socio-economic development.

On Aug 6, in Mong Cai city, Quang Ninh province held a conference to sum up the campaign "30 days and nights" for land clearance and launch the campaign "500 days and nights" to complete Van Don – Mong Cai Highway.

To achieve the target of 2,871 newly established enterprises in 2020, Quang Ninh province has been drastically implementing robust measures to solve difficulties and foster the development of the enterprises.

On July 21, Quang Ninh's Vice Chairman Cao Tuong Huy had a courtesy meeting with a delegation of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) led by senior energy economist Huynjun Lee.

On July 14, the Ministry of Construction issued Decision No.929/QD-BXD on recognizing Quang Yen town as an urban level 3 under Quang Ninh province.

On July 13, Quang Ninh's Chairman Nguyen Van Thang chaired a meeting to review the progress of implementing projects under the Smart City Project, e-government, digital government and the trail operation of the smart city operation center with the Government and Prime Minister's operation center.

On July 6, Quang Ninh's Vice-chairman, Bui Van Khang, had a working session with Thai Ambassador to Vietnam, Tanee Sangrat.

On July 2, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party's Committee, Ngo Hoang Ngan checked the progress of Tuan Chau golf course project in Tuan Chau ward, Ha Long city.

On June 25, Quang Ninh's Chairman Nguyen Van Thang hosted a meeting regarding the proposals of investment projects in the province.

On June 23, Quang Ninh's Vice Chairman Dang Huy Hau worked with My Lan Group regarding the proposal of investment and trading in high-tech agriculture.

On June 23, Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party's Committee cum Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Xuan Ky had a working session with Mr. Marco Breu, Managing partner of McKinsey & Company Vietnam Ltd. regarding the planning of Quang Ninh province in the period of 2021-2030 with a vision to 2050.
