On September 16, Quang Ninh Department of Trade and Industry had a working session with a delegation of Embassy of Pakistan in Vietnam, led by Mr. Ali Qayyum Raja, the Trade and Investment Attaché, regarding investment opportunities in Vietnam in general and Quang Ninh in particular.
Pakistan imports tea, fiber, and electronic devices... from Vietnam. Mr. Ali Qayyum Raja hoped the meeting would boost trade exchange, economic development cooperation, and investment opportunity in the fields of agriculture, forestry, aquaculture, mining, tourism.... between Pakistan and Vietnam, especially with Quang Ninh. He also suggested more bilateral meetings on above-mentioned subjects.
Although being strongly affected by Covid-19 pandemic, Quang Ninh’s import-export turnover in the 8 months of the year reached 3 billion USD, a year on year increase of 8%.
