On July 14, the Ministry of Construction issued Decision No.929/QD-BXD on recognizing Quang Yen town as an urban level 3 under Quang Ninh province.
Quang Yen town’s master planning till 2030, with a vision to 2050, is known to orient Quang Yen into an economic, trade, industry, service and seaport center of Quang Ninh and the Tonkin Gulf coastal economic belt; a dynamic development area for the marine economy; a modern industrial zone – smart and environmentally friendly urban area, striving to achieve the target of becoming a smart – civilized – modern city, an urban level 2 by 2030.
This recognition will create a good opportunity for Quang Yen town to improve its position and promote the development of economic structure transfer in line with industry and service trend, thus contributing to becoming a driving force for socio-economic development of the town in the coming time.
