To achieve the target of 2,871 newly established enterprises in 2020, Quang Ninh province has been drastically implementing robust measures to solve difficulties and foster the development of the enterprises.
Amid Covid 19 pandemic, Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee has continued to direct departments, sectors and localities to quickly make scenarios and plans which help enterprises overcome difficulties. Specifically, online conferences on removing difficulties for enterprises were organized and attracted the participation of over 400 enterprises. Provincial leaders also worked with strategic investors such as Sun Group, FLC Group, Thanh Cong Group, TH Group, VINACOMIN etc, thereby promoting production and business operation and deploying investment projects.
The province has urgently implemented policies which have been issued by the Central Government and the local government to support locals and enterprises facing difficulties due to Covid-19, including the extension of time to pay tax and land rent, the extension of corporate income tax, personal income tax, value-added tax...
To support service and tourism enterprises to recover soon after social distancing, in May, the provincial People's Council issued Resolution No. 256 to promote provincial tourism stimulus 2020. The 200 billion VND tourism promotion package contributed to attracting a great number of tourists to Quang Ninh, thus boosting the recovery of the tourism industry and a series of enteprises and business households in the fields of commerce, services and transportation.
With drastic measures, currently, enterprises in the province have gradually overcomed the difficult period and resumed operation, thus maintaining the province’s growth. The number of newly established enterprises in July, 2020 reached 221, a 20% year-on-year increase, with a total registered capital of 1.2 trillion VND. Generally in 7 months, there were 1,108 newly established enterprises with a total capital of 7.3 trillion VND, creating jobs for 1,500 laborers.
Facing new development of Covid-19 pandemic, the number of newly established enterprises has only reached 38.5% of the 2020 plan. From now to the end of the year, Quang Ninh needs to have 1,763 new enteprises to complete the set target. This is such a difficult task in the context of Covid-19 spirals. Therefore, the province has continued to seriously and effectively implement tasks and solutions to support and solve difficulties for enterprises, including boosting public investment capital disbursement, improving investment environment, supporting start-up enterprises, ensuring social order and security etc.
