Duong Hoa Tea Festival 2026 to take place on August 8–9

To honour the traditional tea-growing practice, promote the image of the Duong Hoa tea-growing region while fostering community-based tourism development, the Duong Hoa Commune People’s Committee will organise the Duong Hoa Tea Festival 2026 on August 8 and 9 at the tea fields in Duong Hoa Cuong village.
At the festival, the Duong Hoa Commune People’s Committee receives the certificate recognising the tea trees as Vietnamese Heritage Trees.

This year’s festival will feature a wide range of activities, including a marathon around the tea hills; the opening of an air volleyball tournament for clubs from eastern Quang Ninh; the “A Day with Tea-Farmers” experience; visits and photo taking at the tea hills; an exhibition space showcasing OCOP products and tea culture; the “Colours and Fragrance of Duong Hoa Tea” photo exhibition; artistic performances; folk dance exchanges; and various other experiential activities.
The highlight of the festival will be the opening ceremony on August 9, featuring a mass community dance performance, the presentation of the Viet Nam Heritage Tea Tree certificate, the ceremonial “Connecting Generations through the Ancient Tea Tree” ritual, followed by the presentation of tea seedlings to younger generations, and a range of artistic performances honouring Duong Hoa tea culture.

Through the festival, Duong Hoa commune seeks to introduce residents and visitors to the beauty of the tea-growing area, its distinctive cultural values, high-quality tea products, and the locality’s potential for ecotourism and experiential tourism development.
