According to Quang Ninh City’s Department of Agriculture and Environment, from July 1 to September 11, 2026, agencies and local People’s Committees across the city added nearly 1,300 establishments to the Safe Agricultural, Forestry and Fishery Food Traceability Database System and issued 540 accounts to participating agencies and establishments.
To date, the system has recorded 2,949 establishments; issued 292 management accounts and 1,635 establishment accounts; generated 3,016 QR codes for products; and updated 421 production batches. This helps management agencies better monitor product origin and production processes, while enabling consumers to access product information transparently.
Notably, the city is implementing full-chain, real-time traceability connections to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment’s agricultural product traceability system for five establishments with four- and five-star OCOP products. The products expected to be connected include Viet Tu Tea, Ba Che Yellow Flower Tea, Quy Hoa Yellow Flower Tea, Binh Lieu arrowroot vermicelli and HCM fish sauce.
Prioritising connectivity for highly rated OCOP products is expected to enhance transparency regarding origin, production processes and product quality, while improving their ability to meet the requirements of modern distribution markets. This is also an important step towards building safe agricultural, forestry and fishery production and supply chains, linking digital transformation with higher value and competitiveness for local products.
