The Yen Tu World Cultural Heritage site is reknown not only as the “cradle of Vietnamese Buddhism” but also as a priceless reservoir of biodiversity. Throughout its development journey, Quang Ninh province authorities and businesses have placed special emphasis on developing Yen Tu tourism in close association with heritage conservation.
Local authorities, sectors and businesses have carried out a “green infrastructure revolution” at the Yen Tu heritage site, beginning with the Yen Tu cable car system. Designed under the principle of “no deforestation”, the cable car pillars were installed in natural clearings, preserving the ecosystem below intact.
This green transformation is also evident in the architecture of Legacy Yen Tu - MGallery Hotel. The project recreates the cultural essence of the 13th-century Tran Dynasty using indigenous materials such as rammed earth, natural wood and handmade ceramics.
The green journey at Yen Tu is further reinforced through the operation of electric vehicles. The replacement of petrol-powered transport has helped maintain fresh air and demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainable tourism development aligned with nature conservation.
