Inhabitants living in two border localitites of Mong Cai city and Binh Lieu district have currently been administered the 2nd Covid-19 vaccine shots.
Binh Lieu district on August 9 began the COVID-19 vaccination drive for 15,196 residents who received one jab before. The program is expected to last until August 13 at various injection sites in the district. Those who cannot partake in this current drive will be jabbed in 2 days from August 14 at the Binh Lieu District Health Centre.
The district has established 18 injection teams, 7 on-site emergency teams, and 3 ambulances. Add to these necessary facilities and equipment for injection and post-injection monitoring have been fully prepared.
Mong Cai city also started the program on injecting the 2nd doses of Covid-19 vaccine for nearly 30,000 residents living at 8 border communes and workers at Hai Yen Industrial Park. It is expected that this vaccination phase will be completed on August 12, 2021.
In the meanwhile, 7,000 tourism workers have been administered with the second shots of Covid-19 vaccine.
In order to ensure the efficiency of large-scale immunization campaigns, Quang Ninh health sector has organized tranining courses for all personnel taking part in these activities for months.
There are now over 500 vaccination teams including medical workers working at all healthcare units across the province, which enables Quang Ninh to arrange 200 injection tables with 200 vaccination teams for about 40,000 people when the vaccine is issued in the coming days.
In addition, 7 hospitals and 10 medical centers in the province have established 40 emergency teams to handle possible reactions after vaccination.
