On December 3, the Autoliv Vietnam Plant was officially inaugurated at Song Khoai Industrial Park in Hiep Hoa ward.
Prominent among those was Standing Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, Vu Van Dien and Ambassador of Sweden to Vietnam, Colin Naughton.
The project is part of Autoliv Group’s global expansion strategy. Autoliv is the world’s leading manufacturer of automotive safety systems. With a total investment of USD 154 million, the plant spans 9 hectares and will produce airbag materials and components for Autoliv’s global supply chain.
Addressing the event, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, Vu Van Dien, emphasized that the inauguration marks a major milestone, reflecting Quang Ninh’s open and transparent investment environment and its strong commitment to supporting businesses. Thanks to its synchronized infrastructure and excellent connectivity to expressways and seaports, Song Khoai Industrial Park is becoming an appealing destination for high-tech investors and skilled workers.
The province acknowledged the close cooperation between the investor, the Economic Zone Authority, and infrastructure developer Amata Ha Long in ensuring the project was completed on schedule. The plant’s operation is expected to generate local jobs, boost export value and budget revenue, and further advance Quang Ninh’s high-tech industrial sector.
Driven by the principle that “the success of enterprises is the success of the province”, Quang Ninh pledges to continue providing the most favorable conditions for Autoliv Vietnam to operate efficiently and expand in the future.
