On the evening of July 5, Quang Ninh Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) was informed that the flight No. VN286 from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi landed at 20:20 on July 3, 2021 carried 4 positive cases of Covid-19 sitting in row 40. There were 5 passengers related to Quang Ninh on this flight.
Among them, 3 people reside at Ha Long city’s three wards of Yet Kieu, Hong Ha and Cao Thang and others who used to do their business trips in Quang Ninh have their home addresses at Long Bien and Nam Tu Liem in Hanoi city.
3 cases living in Ha Long city and 1 case in Hanoi working in Ha Long were taken to centralized quarantine, underwent Covid-19 testing last night. They were tested negative for Covid-19 for the first time.
The fifth case who has already moved to Hanoi has been requested for testing and self-isolation by the Hanoi Center for Disease Control to self-isolate.
Quang Ninh health sector is tracing cases of close contact with the above -mentioned 5 cases to provide then with effective measures on Covid-19 prevention and control in line with regulations.
CDC Quang Ninh also recommends all people returing from Ho Chi Minh city, a current Covid-19 hotspot, to conform to defined regulations on medical reporting and quarantine. Residents should inform local health units to have themselves tested for the virus and obey self-quarantine rules before going back to work.
