On the evening of June 18, at the Viet Nam - Japan Labour Culture Palace, the Ministry of Public Security opened the 2026 People's Public Security Force Mass Arts Festival under the theme “80 Years of the People's Public Security Force – The Golden Legacy Endures.” The event is one of a series of activities marking the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security Force (July 12, 1946 – July 12, 2026).
Held in Quang Ninh from June 18 to 23, the festival brings together nearly 900 officers, personnel and performers from 21 mass arts troupes representing public security units, local police forces and the Vietnam People's Army. The 120 performances featured in the festival have been carefully prepared and staged. They focus on themes praising the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, ove for the homeland and the nation, and the proud traditions and close coordination between the People's Public Security Force and the Vietnam People's Army. The performances also portray the silent contributions, sacrifices and achievements of generations of People's Security officers and personnel in safeguarding national security and maintaining social order and safety.
Immediately following the opening ceremony, the Quang Ninh Provincial Police arts troupe and Security Arts Troupe No. 2 gave the opening competition performances. The remaining troupes competes on June 19 and 20. A special public performance programme will be held at 7:30pm on June 20 at October 30 Square in Ha Long Ward. The festival's closing ceremony is scheduled at 8pm on June 21, 2026. A cultural and artistic exchange programme entitled “Melodies of Peace” will take place at 2pm on June 23 at the Viet Nam - Japan Labour Culture Palace.
