The drill simulated a series of complex security threats, testing the ability of participating forces to gather and assess intelligence, identify potential terrorist threats, protect key targets and coordinate emergency responses.

Scenarios included protecting senior Party and state officials, neutralizing unmanned aerial vehicles, managing large gatherings that threatened public security, responding to violent demonstrations and riots, apprehending suspected terrorists, rescuing hostages, clearing explosives, fighting fires and conducting search-and-rescue operations.

The exercise featured several new scenarios involving interconnected emergencies that required rapid decision-making and close coordination among multiple units equipped with modern weapons, specialized vehicles and advanced technology.

Throughout the drill, participating forces followed established procedures, worked closely together and responded to simulated threats with flexibility and precision.

The 80-minute exercise concluded successfully, meeting all its objectives without injuries or damage to equipment.

Officials said the drill demonstrated the professional capabilities and operational readiness of police and military personnel, particularly specialized units responsible for counterterrorism operations and hostage rescue.

It also strengthened command structures, interagency coordination and the ability of security forces to respond effectively to potential threats.

Beyond improving emergency preparedness, the exercise underscored Vietnam's commitment to peace, stability and the protection of its people.

By strengthening the ability to prevent and respond to security threats, Quang Ninh aims to safeguard the daily lives of residents, maintain public order and provide a stable, secure environment for businesses, investment and sustainable socioeconomic development.

The drill also contributed to the overall objectives of the city's 2026 defensive area exercise, reinforcing the importance of preparedness and cooperation in preserving peace and protecting communities.
