From August to December 2026, the Yen Tu Ward People’s Committee will organise the 2026 “Yen Tu - Meditative Autumn Colours” programme, featuring a series of cultural, artistic, tourism, meditation and experiential activities. The programme aims promote the values of the Yen Tu World Cultural Heritage Site, while creating distinctive tourism products and attracting visitors to Yen Tu during the autumn season.
The programme will take place at the Yen Tu Complex of Monuments and Landscapes, as well as several other relic sites and tourist attractions acrossthe ward. This marks the second consecutive year the programme has been organised, following its successful debut in 2025.
Highlights of the programme include the 2026 “Best Presenter of the Yen Tu World Heritage Site” contest; an exhibition of artworks inspired by Yen Tu; the 2026 Yen Tu Ultra Trail under the theme “Exploring Heritage - Spreading Quintessence”, scheduled for August 21 - 23; and a Mid - Autumn Festival programme featuring a range of traditional cultural experiences, scheduled for August 23.
In addition, the 2026 “Yen Tu Chess King” Chinese chess tournament is scheduled to take place in November. The 2026 Yen Tu Heritage Marathon, themed “Touching the Heritage Area”, will be held on November 28 and 29 at the Yen Tu historical relic and scenic site.
Through the programme, Yen Tu ward aims to preserve, honour and promote the outstanding universal value of the Yen Tu World Cultural Heritage Site; spread the philosophical, cultural and humanistic values of the Truc Lam Zen Buddhist school founded by King-Buddha Tran Nhan Tong; and further promote Yen Tu's land, people and unique cultural identity to both domestic and international tourists.
