“Yellow season in the Soong Co land” festival to open on November 2

A cultural festival titled “The 2025 yellow season in the Soong Co land”  will be held by the People’s Committee of Dong Ngu commune on November 1-2, serving as one of the key highlights in the commune’s 2025 tourism development plan.

Visitors to the festival can look forward to checking in amid golden terraced fields, enjoying the captivating melodies of Soong Co folk songs, and witnessing vibrant reenactments of the San Chi and Dao people’s rituals and customs.

The program also features a variety of traditional ethnic sports such as top spinning, tug of war, and stick pushing; a San Chi women’s football friendly match; and hands-on cultural experiences including visits to earthen-brick houses, performances of the Tac Xinh dance by the San Chay people, culinary contests, rice cake pounding, and straw scarecrow decorating.

A series of cultural and artistic performances will also take place at the San Chi cultural center in Khe Luc hamlet and other tourist and cultural sites across the commune, creating a lively festive atmosphere.
