On the evening of April 30, at Minh Chau Island Beach, Van Don Special Zone officially opened its Sea Tourism Festival 2026 under the theme “Van Don – Awakening Summer.”
The opening ceremony featured an art programme with a variety of special performances celebrating the natural beauty, people, and strong potential and advantages of Van Don Special Zone for marine and island tourism development. The event left a strong impression on residents and visitors, highlighting a locality full of energy and ready to enter the peak summer tourism season with new momentum and fresh expectations.
Also during the opening ceremony, Van Don Special Zone officially launched the “Digital Platform and Media Ecosystem for Van Don Tourism Promotion.”
In 2026, Van Don Special Zone aims to welcome more than 3.5 million tourist arrivals. By the end of April 2026, the total number of visitors to Van Don was estimated at 816,000, while total tourism revenue reached approximately VND 1.331 trillion, up more than 200% year-on-year.
