Two luxury cruise liners bring nearly 3,400 tourists to Ha Long
The Ha Long International Cruise Port welcomed two luxury cruise liners carrying about 3,400 European and US tourists on November 13-14, reported the Department of Tourism.
The Malta-flagged Celebrity Solstice with almost 2,700 tourists docked at the port on the morning of November 13. After disembarking, they explored famous destinations such as Quang Ninh Museum, experienced local culture and cuisine through a city tour of Ha Long, and visited tourist spots.
The liner left Ha Long city at 5pm on November 14, concluding its voyage through Vietnam and heading back to Hong Kong (China). It is expected to return to Ha Long four more times by the end of this year.
The luxury international cruise liner named the Regatta called the port at 6.30 am on November 14, bringing about 600 passengers from Europe and the US.
Since the beginning of 2023, the province has welcomed 16 large cruise ships. It is announced by the Tourism Department that nearly 60 cruises with over 70,000 tourists have already registered for their docking at the Ha Long International Port, including those from major cruise lines such as Mein Schiff 5, Mein Schiff 6, Celebrity Solstice, Noordam, MSC Splendida, Westerdam, etc.
