On November 21 and 22, Son Hai hamlet in Ba Che commune came alive in a burst of color and tradition as the Ban Vuong festival 2025 unfolded.
With the theme “Honoring our roots - Preserving and promoting Dao cultural identity”, the festival offered visitors a meaningful cultural journey. The artistic showcase “The legend of Ban Vuong - The sun’s dream” set the tone, followed by traditional rituals such as offering ceremonies, the fire dance, and the symbolic sea-crossing journey of the 12 Dao clans.
Amid the rhythmic beat of festival drums and the warm smiles of Dao women, visitors explored the Mieu Ong- Mieu Ba (Ba Che's famous temples), the ancient pottery kiln, and enjoyed distinctive Dao cuisine along with local OCOP specialties.
More than a celebration of heritage, the festival provided truly memorable and immersive experiences, leaving a deep and lasting impression on all who attended.
