Sun PhuQuoc Airways launches first Van Don - Ho Chi Minh City flight

On the afternoon of June 15, Van Don International Airport welcomed the inaugural flight operated by Sun PhuQuoc Airways, officially launching the Van Don - Ho Chi Minh City route.

The event marks another milestone in the expansion of air connectivity network to Quang Ninh. On the same day, the round-trip service carried around 200 passengers from Van Don to Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the airline’s schedule, the route will operate four flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. To meet growing travel demand, Sun PhuQuoc Airways plans to increase the frequency to one flight per day starting in August.

The operation of the Van Don - Ho Chi Minh City route not only meets rising travel demand but also creates additional opportunities to attract investment, support tourism development, tap into the southern visitor market for Quang Ninh and the Northeast region. The route is expected to provide further impetus for socio-economic development between Quang Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City, two of Vietnam’s key growth poles.
