Spring Calligraphy Festival 2026 opens

On February 24 (the eighth day of the first lunar month), the 2026 Spring Calligraphy Festival was held at Bai Tho Mountain Cultural Area in Hong Gai Ward, under the theme “Quang Ninh – Aspiration to Rise”.

Following the ceremonial drum performance marking the festival’s opening, Quang Ninh’s Party Secretary Quan Minh Cuong, together with other provincial leaders, representatives of departments and agencies, and local writers and artists, took part in the traditional first-writing ceremony of the year.

The event also launched emulation movements in literary and artistic creation, as well as campaigns promoting study and creative labour. The programme also featured an art photography exhibition, sketch painting, calligraphy writing, and music and dance performances. At the event, writers, artists and students with outstanding achievements in literature, the arts, academic study and scientific researches were also honoured.
