On November 5 and 6, the special film week “Quang Ninh mining region - Imprints and aspirations” welcomed more than 1,000 moviegoers during its first two screenings at the Quang Ninh provincial Planning, Fair, and Exhibition Palace receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from audiences.
The featured films deeply resonated with viewers, especially middle-aged and elderly audiences and war veterans, who praised their powerful storytelling, impressive visuals, and sound quality. The revolutionary and historical themes evoked strong emotions, offering audiences heartfelt glimpses into the nation’s heroic past. Many young people, students, and local residents also attended to learn more about history and to celebrate the pride and spirit of their homeland.
The lineup included several acclaimed Vietnamese films previously screened at the 24th Vietnam Film Festival, such as "Red rain", "Dao, Pho and Piano", "I see yellow flowers on the green grass", "The scent of burnt grass", "The returnee", "The legend of Quan Tien", "Jasmine," and "The crossroads of independence", among others.
Among them, Red Rain was shown on weekends at 9 a.m., 2 p.m., and 8 p.m. Audiences enjoyed a truly immersive cinematic experience with a 1,000-seat setup, featuring a large LED screen and state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems.
In order to ensure a welcoming experience, the organizers also provided complimentary water and free parking, making it easy and comfortable for people to attend.
Part of the province’s key celebration for the 89th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of Quang Ninh Coal Miners, “The indomitable Mining Region” (November 12, 1936-2025), the special film week “Quang Ninh mining region - Imprints and aspirations” runs from November 5 to 16.
Through a collection of powerful revolutionary and historical films, the event honors the image of soldiers and workers, celebrates patriotism and the spirit of devotion, and reignites pride in the resilient, hardworking people of Quang Ninh, the land of mines, memories, and aspirations.
