As part of the Miss World 2026 to be held in Vietnam, Quang Ninh will host the opening activities from August 8 to 12, 2026, with the participation of 130 contestants from 130 countries and territories.
Key highlights include an opening ceremony combined with the scholarship presentation, and a promotional tour of Ha Long Bay, along with a number of activities showing gratitude to people with meritorious service and environmental protection initiatives. The events are expected to attract tens of thousands of audiences.
Quang Ninh’s Chairman Bui Van Khang emphasized that hosting one of the world’s premier beauty pageants goes beyond a cultural and entertainment activity, holding major strategic significance for Quang Ninh. It serves as a prime opportunity for the province to demonstrate its capacity to host international-scale events, while boosting tourism, driving investment and elevating the image of Ha Long Bay, and the heritage of the Mining Region on the global stage.
