The highlight will be the opening art programme of Ha Long Carnaval 2026, themed “Wonders Shining in a New Era”. Known as a signature cultural event of the mining region, this year’s carnival will be organised on a larger scale, with 64 elaborately designed parade floats and the participation of art troupes from five continents. The event is expected to offer a lively visual and cultural experience, combining elements of circus performance, magic and street music. A special performance titled “Wave of Light Festival”, featuring dozens of tourist boats on the bay, will transform the heritage waters into a large open stage, offering visitors a distinctive experience.

The event will also feature a variety of other activities, including the street dance event “Dance of Five Continents”, hot-air balloon experiences, an international food street and an OCOP fair. Cultural and spiritual events at Yen Tu, the Tran Quoc Nghien Temple Festival, Quang Ninh Film Week, an exhibition of literature and arts, as well as various sports competitions and international art programmes will contribute to a diverse festival season.

Quang Ninh Summer Tourism Week 2026 is expected to draw around 1.3 million tourist arrivals, contributing to the province’s target of welcoming 5.92 million tourist arrivals in the second quarter of 2026, with total tourism revenue estimated at VND 18.176 trillion.
