Miss World was founded in the United Kingdom in 1951 and quickly became one of the world’s most prestigious beauty pageants. In 2026, as the competition marks its 75th anniversary, Vietnam will host the event for the first time, with a series of activities taking place across several localities, beginning in Quang Ninh.
More than a beauty pageant, Miss World has for many years become a journey of cultural connection among countries. Each destination tells a story about the host country. If Ha Long Bay has brought Quang Ninh to the world, Miss World 2026 provides an opportunity for the world to gain a deeper understanding of a Quang Ninh undergoing strong transformation – a dynamic, professional and attractive destination that goes beyond what the world has long known about Ha Long Bay. The contestants arrive in Quang Ninh on August 8. They will officially take part in charitable and promotional activities in the province from August 9.
