According to the latest overview of Vietnam’s national economic landscape in 2025 released by the General Statistics Office, Quang Ninh emerged as a bright spot, leading the country in GRDP growth at 11.89%.
In 2025, Quang Ninh’s tourism and service sector continued to serve as a key driver, recording a growth rate of 16.4% and contributing nearly 6% points to overall economic growth. Total tourist arrivals exceeded 21 million, while tourism revenue rose by more than 22%. A notable milestone in 2025 was Quang Ninh gaining an additional World Cultural Heritage site, as the Yên Tử Complex of Monuments and Landscapes, part of the Yên Tử – Vĩnh Nghiêm – Côn Sơn, Kiếp Bạc complex of monuments and landscapes was officially recognized by UNESCO. Meanwhile, the industry and construction sector recorded a growth of over 10.5%. These impressive development results not only demonstrate Quang Ninh’s strong determination and effective leadership in governance, but also provide a solid foundation for the province to implement socio-economic development tasks in 2026, the first year of a new development tenure with the goal of faster, more sustainable, and more comprehensive growth.
