On August 17, Quang Ninh Provincial Party Secretary Quan Minh Cuong received Ton Chirathivat, Chairman of a Project of Thailand’s Central Retail Group, who was visiting Quang Ninh to explore investment cooperation opportunities.
At the meeting, the Project Chairman Ton Chirathivat gave an overview of the group’s operations in the retail and hotel sectors. In Quang Ninh, the group has invested and opened GO! Ha Long Shopping Centre. Based on its assessment of Quang Ninh’s potential and advantages, the Group proposed further studying investment opportunities in a chain of supermarkets and shopping centres across the province.
Quang Ninh Provincial Party Secretary Quan Minh Cuong highly appreciated Central Retail Group’s interest in and its plans to expand investment in Quang Ninh. He said Quang Ninh has favourable conditions for strong development of trade and services, particularly modern retail models.
In particular, as Quang Ninh moves towards becoming a centrally governed city, new development space, together with a growing population, increasing tourist arrivals and growing consumer demand, will create numerous opportunities for investors in retail, trade and services.
