On May 11, Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee Secretary Quan Minh Cuong, had a courtesy meeting with a delegation from Luang Prabang Province, Laos, led Luang Prabang Provincial Party Committee Secretary Bounleuam Manivong during their working visit to Quang Ninh Province.
At the meeting, Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee Secretary Quan Minh Cuong affirmed that in recent years, cooperation and support activities between Quang Ninh and Luang Prabang have become increasingly substantive and effective across various fields. He also stressed that in the coming period, Quang Ninh will continue to strengthen support for northern Lao provinces, particularly by providing funding for a number of infrastructure projects, training officials, and supporting Lao students studying at educational institutions in the province. These efforts will help further deepen the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
Luang Prabang Provincial Party Committee Secretary Bounleuam Manivong expressed sincere thanks for Quang Ninh’s support for Luang Prabang over the years. He also expressed his hope that the two provinces would further strengthen cooperation in areas where both sides have shared advantages, particularly by creating favourable conditions for key provincial officials to participate in short-term training courses in Quang Ninh, studying the possibility of launching direct flights between Quang Ninh and Luang Prabang to promote tourism cooperation between the two localities...
