On June 12, the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee held a conference to review the pilot project on developing the night-time economy in the province during the 2023–2025 period. The conference was chaired by Quang Ninh’s Chairman Bui Van Khang.
Under the project, six localities, namely Ha Long, Mong Cai, Cam Pha, Co To and Van Don, along with Dong Trieu, were selected to pilot night-time economy development between 2023 and 2025. Initial progress has been made in a range of sectors, including culture and the arts, night-time shopping and entertainment, sports and wellness services, night-time tourism, and food and beverage services.
A number of models have gradually taken shape and developed in key areas, including large-scale special art programmes, immersive performances at Ngoc Rong Cave, VuiFest Ha Long, and night-time cruise street activities. These initiatives have contributed to the gradual formation of new economic spaces, helping attract visitors and encourage higher tourism spending.
