Quang Ninh Chairman extends Lunar New Year greetings to first cruise visitors of the year

On the morning of February 17 (the first day of the Lunar New Year 2026), Ha Long International Cruise Port welcomed nearly 2,400 international passengers aboard two luxury cruise ships, marking the start of a series of six consecutive international cruise arrivals to the heritage region. Quang Ninh’s Chairman Bui Van Khang, together with leaders of provincial departments and agencies, greeted the first cruise visitors to usher in the Lunar New Year in Quang Ninh.

Subsequently, on February 19 and 20 (the third and fourth days of Tet), and on February 24 and 25 (the eighth and ninth days of the first lunar month), the port continued to receive Le Jacques Cartier (France), Adora Mediterranea (Bahamas) and Silver Nova (Bahamas), with Adora Mediterranea making two calls.

In 2026, Ha Long International Cruise Port is expected to welcome around 90 cruise calls, bringing approximately 150,000 tourist arrivals from key markets including the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada, China and several European countries.
