Quang Ninh attracts investment from South Korean businesses

On July 20, Quang Ninh’s Chairman Bui Van Khang received a delegation from the Kocham Vietnam (Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam), led by its Chairman Ko Tae-yeon, who visited the province to explore local investment environment and discuss cooperation opportunities.

At the meeting, Chairman Bui Van Khang emphasised that South Korea remains one of Quang Ninh’s important investment partners. The province currently hosts 15 South Korean-invested projects with total registered capital exceeding USD 524 million. With its strategic location, synchronized transport infrastructure, modern economic and industrial zone network, and transparent investment climate, Quang Ninh hopes that Kocham Vietnam will continue to serve as a bridge and encourage South Korean enterprises to invest in Quang Ninh’s sectors where South Korea holds strong competitive advantages, including electronics, semiconductors, automobiles, electric vehicles, energy equipment, robotics, artificial intelligence…

For his part, Kocham Vietnam’s Chairman Ko Tae-yeon highly valued Quang Ninh’s potential and investment environment, noting its strong advantages in becoming a preferred destination for projects in electronics, supporting industries, logistics, clean energy and digital transformation. He affirmed that Kocham Vietnam will continue to bolster connections and investment promotion, driving stronger cooperation between the South Korean business community and Quang Ninh province.
