By implementing a range of measures to support businesses, accelerating administrative reform and improving service quality, Customs Sub-Department Region VIII has achieved positive results in attracting enterprises since the beginning of 2026, contributing to import-export growth and increased state budget revenues.
At Bac Luan II Bridge of the Mong Cai International Border Gate, a growing number of automobile importers have chosen to expand their operations. Since the beginning of 2026, more than 2,000 imported automobiles and semi-trailers have been processed, generating over VND362 billion in state budget revenue, up 239 per cent compared with the same period in 2025. Since the start of the year, 1,654 enterprises have carried out import-export procedures through Mong Cai International Border Gate, up 37 per cent year-on-year. The result proves the effectiveness of efforts to streamline administrative procedures and improve services for businesses. Beyond Mong Cai, units under Customs Region VIII have proactively addressed difficulties to facilitate import-export activities. To date, the customs authority has processed import-export procedures for 2,509 enterprises, including 729 newly registered businesses, up 41 per cent compared with the same period last year.
