By 6 p.m. on August 16, the elections of heads of villages, hamlets and residential areas for the 2026–2031 term had been successfully completed across Quang Ninh.
A total of 98.12% of voters representing households province-wide cast their ballots to elect qualified and reputable candidates to serve as heads of villages, hamlets and residential areas.
Voter turnout reached 100% in 22 out of the province’s 54 communes, wards and special zones, while 336 out of 624 villages, hamlets and residential areas also achieved 100% turnout.
The elections resulted in 624 people being elected as heads of villages, hamlets and residential areas for the 2026–2031 term. Of these, 55 were elected with 100% of the votes, 513 with 90% or more, and 56 with less than 90%.
