In Cebu City, the Philippines, the Quang Ninh Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organised a familiarisation and promotion programme to introduce Quang Ninh’s tourism to Philippine travel enterprises.
During the programme, the Quang Ninh delegation provided Philippine tour operators with promotional materials on the province’s tourism products, including videos and printed publications featuring Ha Long Bay, Yen Tu and Co To.
Representatives of 12 Cebu-based travel companies exchanged views and raised a range of questions related to tourism products, services and development policies in Quang Ninh. In addition to experiential tours exploring the province’s natural landscapes and cultural heritage, Philippine tour operators also expressed interest in cooperating with Quang Ninh’s partners to develop education-oriented programmes and sports exchange tours such as pickleball and golf. Quang Ninh reaffirmed its commitment to accompanying businesses from both sides to promote sustainable, effective and long-term cooperation.
Quang Ninh is one of the few localities in Viet Nam that is home to two UNESCO-recognised World Heritage sites, alongside a diverse and high-quality tourism ecosystem. Its natural conditions and coastal island climate are similar to those of Cebu, making it well suited to the preferences of Philippine travellers. With modern tourism infrastructure and a system of high-standard accommodation facilities, Quang Ninh is well positioned to welcome international visitors.
