On September 29, in Dongxing City, China, a delegation from Mong Cai 1, Mong Cai 2 and Mong Cai 3 wards and Hai Son commune of Quang Ninh City, Vietnam, led by Secretary of the Mong Cai 1 Ward Party Committee Nguyen Thi Hien, visited Dongxing City and extended congratulations to its Party Committee, authorities and people of all ethnic groups on the 77th anniversary of the National Day of the People’s Republic of China on (October 1, 1949-2026). Zeng Weikang, Secretary of the Dongxing City Party Committee in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, warmly received the delegation.
On the occasion of China’s National Day, Secretary of the Mong Cai 1 Ward Party Committee Nguyen Thi Hien and the delegation extended their best wishes for Dongxing City to become increasingly prosperous and for its people to enjoy a more prosperous and happy life. They also expressed their hope that the friendship and solidarity between the border communes and wards in the Mong Cai area and Dongxing City in particular, as well as between Vietnam and China in general, would continue to grow stronger.
In the coming period, under the strategic guidance of the senior leaders of the two Parties and States, Quang Ninh City and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the two sides will continue to effectively promote existing exchange and dialogue mechanisms, concretise signed agreements and cooperation contents. These efforts will contribute to strengthening friendship between border localities, and help build the Vietnam-China Community with a Shared Future of strategic significance at a higher level in the new era.
2026 marks the 76th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, and on the basis of the “16-word guideline”, the spirit of the “four good” principles and the common understandings reached by senior leaders of the two countries, Quang Ninh City and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region continue to deepen cooperation, effectively promote mechanisms such as the Spring Meeting and the Joint Working Committee, and strengthen connectivity activities within the framework of the China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO). The two sides are also expanding substantive cooperation in transport, border gates, trade, industry, tourism, culture, healthcare and people-to-people exchanges in border areas.
