On August 28, Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Bui Van Khang, held a courtesy meeting with Secretary of the Party Committee of Fangchenggang City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, Huang Jiang, during her visit to Quang Ninh to congratulate the province on its establishment as a city.
At the meeting, The Fangchenggang Party Secretary Huang Jiang congratulated Quang Ninh on becoming a city and conveyed a congratulatory letter from the Secretary of the Party Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to the Party organisation, authorities and people of Quang Ninh Province. The Fangchenggang Party Secretary proposed that the two sides promote infrastructure connectivity projects, including the Dongxing–Mong Cai railway and Bac Luan III Bridge; accelerate the development of smart border gates and the Mong Cai–Dongxing Cross-Border Economic Cooperation Zone; and strengthen cooperation in trade, logistics and tourism.
Expressing his sincere appreciation for the sentiments extended by the leaders of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Fangchenggang City to Quang Ninh, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Bui Van Khang, affirmed that Quang Ninh fully supported the proposals put forward by Huang Jiang. He said that the establishment of Quang Ninh City would create more favourable conditions for the province to expand its development space and strengthen connectivity and cooperation with localities in China. The two sides agreed to continue close coordination in promoting infrastructure connectivity projects, facilitating trade, logistics and tourism, developing high-quality human resources and strengthening people-to-people exchanges, thereby further deepening the friendship and cooperation between Quang Ninh and Guangxi.
