On the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China and the 77th anniversary of the National Day of the People’s Republic of China, the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, together with media agencies from Guangxi and Guangdong, organised the programme “Celebrating National Day Together - Enduring Vietnam-China Friendship” and a Vietnam-China media exchange in Hanoi on September 29.
As part of the programme, the Vietnam-China Young Journalists Exchange seminar themed “Dialogue in the New Era” was held to strengthen exchanges and connections among press and media agencies and younger generations of the two countries, while discussing new directions in media cooperation and contributing to fostering Vietnam-China friendship.
Quang Ninh Media Group has regularly cooperated and worked with media agencies in Guangxi in joint production and information exchange. The year 2026 marks 20 years of cooperation between Quang Ninh Media Group and key press agencies of Guangxi, China, including the Guangxi Daily Media Group and Guangxi Radio and Television. The two sides have maintained news exchanges, jointly produced radio and television programmes, published the bilingual Lotus magazine, and expanded cooperation in multimedia journalism and new media. Their joint media products have gone beyond simply providing information, becoming trusted bridges that widely promote the image of a peaceful and friendly border region where both sides cooperate for shared development among the people of the two countries.
A highlight of the programme was the launch of the short documentary Guests Under One Roof, a creative cooperation product between key press agencies of Vietnam and China. The documentary was co-produced by Guangxi Daily, through the Guangxi International Communication Centre, and the Voice of Vietnam, and is expected to be broadcast on the media platforms of both sides.
As part of the series of events marking Vietnam-China diplomatic relations and China’s National Day, a thematic concert was held on the evening of September 29 at the Vietnam National Academy of Music as part of the symphonic project “Evergreen Friendship”, jointly created by China and Vietnam under the 2026 exchange, promotion and communications project.
