On November 5, the Mong Cai International Border Gate Border Guard Station, under the Quang Ninh Border Guard Command, announced that it had coordinated with the Dongxing Border Station of Immigration Inspection (China) to open a “green lane” for an ambulance transporting a patient in need of emergency medical treatment for humanitarian reasons.
Earlier that morning, the Bac Luan 2 Task Force of the Mong Cai International Border Gate Border Guard Station assisted Hu Fan, a Chinese national born in 1997 who was suffering from a heart attack, in completing exit procedures and returning safely to China for emergency treatment.
This humanitarian initiative not only helped ensure timely treatment for the patient but also demonstrated the effectiveness of comprehensive cooperation agreements between the two border localities, particularly in the healthcare sector.
The timely opening of the “green lane” for cross-border procedures reflects the commitment of the border guard forces of both countries to administrative reform and simplified procedures for humanitarian purposes. The initiative also helps strengthen traditional friendship, promote people-to-people exchanges and foster cooperation in border areas, contributing to the building of a peaceful, friendly and cooperative border between Viet Nam and China.
