On September 11, the Mong Cai International Border Gate Border Guard Station coordinated with the Dongxing Border Station of Immigration Inspection (China) to open a “green lane” to facilitate the return of a Chinese citizen to China by ambulance for emergency medical treatment.
The ambulance bearing registration No. 19B-630.89 carried Chinese citizen Qiu Chongjian, born in 1977, back to China. He had been diagnosed with a cerebral blood vessel rupture.
The coordination to open the green channel and complete procedures for the ambulance and patient was carried out promptly, ensuring safety during the handover at the border gate.
The timely opening of the “green lane” for the ambulance demonstrated the humanitarian spirit and sense of responsibility of the authorities on both sides of the border. The move also contributed to strengthening cooperation in healthcare and facilitating immigration procedures, helping ensure convenient cross-border travel for people from the two countries in urgent circumstances.
