On October 9 and 10, the Vietnam Association of Gastroenterology organized the 32nd National Gastroenterology Scientific Conference in Quang Ninh.
The conference brought together more than 1,000 delegates, including scientists, experts and doctors, as well as international speakers from Japan, China, Singapore and Thailand. The annual scientific event aims to provide updates on advances in the diagnosis, treatment and research of gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases, gastrointestinal endoscopy and gastrointestinal cancers.
The 32nd National Gastroenterology Scientific Conference featured 108 presentations, 12 scientific sessions and a range of specialised workshops. At the conference, international experts shared practical experience and new trends being effectively applied in many countries, including approaches suited to the disease characteristics of Asian patients. The conference also serves as an important preparatory step for the Asian Pacific Digestive Week 2028 (APDW 2028), which will be held in Hanoi in 2028.
As a co-organising locality, Quang Ninh also sees the conference as an opportunity for its doctors to exchange experience, learn, update scientific advances and strengthen professional cooperation, thereby contributing to improving the quality of diagnosis and treatment in gastroenterology.
