On July 27th, on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947–2026), a Quang Ninh provincial delegation led by Provincial Party Secretary Quan Minh Cuong paid tribute by offering incense at the Monument to Heroic Martyrs and the statue of Comrade Vu Van Hieu, the first Secretary of the Special Zone Party Committee of the Quang Ninh Mining Area.
On behalf of the provincial Party organisation, authorities, armed forces and people, a delegation representing fo the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and National Assembly deputies’ delegation solemnly offered incense and laid wreaths in memory of the heroic martyrs and comrade Vu Van Hieu, who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend the Fatherland’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity and for the peace, prosperity and happiness of the people.
Building on the achievements of previous generations, Quang Ninh has continued to record remarkable and comprehensive results. Its economy has maintained stable growth, while the province has remained among the country’s leading localities in ensuring social welfare and improving people’s quality of life. In recognition of these development achievements, the Party Central Committee recently approved in principle the establishment of Quang Ninh as a centrally governed city. This is a particularly important historic milestone, opening a new phase of development for Vietnam’s northeastern gateway.
