According to the Hoanh Mo Border Gate Customs Office under the Sub-Department of Customs Region VIII, total import–export turnover through Hoanh Mo border gate reached USD 21.9 million in the first three months of the year, marking an increase of more than 61% compared to the same period in 2025.
Specifically, from January 1 to March 29, 2026, the unit processed 1,088 customs declarations, up 76.34%; import activity continued to gain positve achivement, reaching USD 17.78 million, an increase of over 115% compared to the same period last year.
Import – export flows through the border gate remained stable. Key import items included footwear, automobile components, machinery, equipment and construction materials, while exports mainly consisted of agricultural products and raw materials such as dried longan, cinnamon bark and base paper.
In the first quarter, a total of 82 enterprises carried out customs procedures through the unit, including 46 new businesses. The increase in the number of enterprises reflects the effectiveness of measures implemented to improve the business and investment environment and to support the business community.
